The Lathe of Heaven is the only novel of Le Guin's that takes place in Portland

Turns out I was learning about Portland and the Grant Park neighborhood through the lens of Cleary and her famous characters some twenty plus years before I moved here as an adult. 

McCoy Park in North Portland is named after Gladys McCoy and her husband Bill. The McCoys focused on issues affecting minority and low-income people during the 1970's and 80's.

Last year for our March product release Jen came up with an idea for something a little bit different. Offering fragrances that honored Women's History Month with a specific focus on women from Oregon who've made an impact historically, socially and culturally. It was an opportunity to experiment with some different product offerings and scents while also shining a light on historical figures that have helped shape the state that we love.
